It all started in 2009, somewhere in Upper Hill, Nairobi. Two lawyers - Eddah Mwanyumba and Victoria Kariithi crossed paths. Was it destiny? A perfectly timed Black Forest cake break? The mystery remains unsolved. What we do know is that they worked together for a few years at a well-established law firm, sharpening their skills, exchanging legal chitchat, and probably debating the finer points of contract clauses over lunch. Fast-forward a couple of years, and they decided it was time to create something of their own. And so, MKC was born, a firm built on a shared vision, a commitment to quality legal services, and maybe just a little bit of Black Forest cake. It’s been going strong ever since.

Every contract lawyer has those recurring drafting quirks that make them sigh. But Victoria takes a different approach, focusing on precision without letting the fine print slow down deals or turn negotiations into a tedious back-and-forth that misses the client's real needs.
Victoria handles a wide range of legal matters, including Contract Law, Property Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment, and Family Law, covering areas such as adoption, wills, and probate. She also helps clients resolve disputes through mediation, arbitration, and negotiation. In the ever-evolving world of technology, she applies her expertise in ICT Law, with a special focus on Blockchain, Digital Assets and Emerging Technologies.
When she’s not drafting contracts or exploring the legal intricacies of Blockchain, you might find her lost in the blues on her guitar or bringing a little jazz to the mix with her alto sax. One day, she might just be closing deals by day and jamming at a great jazz restaurant in Marrakech by night, because who says lawyers can’t have a good groove?

David carries himself with a quiet confidence and sharp intellect, earning him a reputation as a polished and composed gentleman. If you want proof, you’ll have to meet him (though having a litigation matter in hand would make the visit less…awkward).
David has broad litigation experience across commercial disputes, land matters, employment law, and election petitions. He has represented clients before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, and specialized tribunals. His work includes handling complex property disputes, shipping and construction litigation, banking and insurance recovery cases, employment and labour relations matters, and media law, including defamation defense. Additionally, he advises corporate clients on legal compliance, dispute resolution, and risk management across various industries, including real estate, energy, hospitality, and logistics. With this extensive experience, David brings a thorough and strategic approach to courtroom advocacy.
When he’s not making strategic legal moves, David can be found perfecting his swing on the golf course or outmanoeuvring opponents on the chessboard, because, much like law, both require patience, precision, and a winning strategy.

Sharp Legal Thinker (and Resident Ray of Sunshine!)
Sheriz is the true definition of sunshine, bringing light and joy to the office. In contrast to some of her more introspective colleagues, she nudges them out of their cocoons, reminding them to smile and share a laugh or two… or three… honestly, we’ve lost count. The point is, she adds a much-needed spark of cheerfulness to our otherwise jejune world.
Sheriz is a skilled litigator and researcher who keeps the team informed on legislative changes and their impact. She focuses on practical legal solutions and has experience in Civil Litigation, Commercial Law, Intellectual Property, and Conveyancing. She also has a strong understanding of Data Protection laws and helps clients navigate compliance requirements.
Beyond law, Sheriz enjoys meeting new people and exploring new experiences, whether it’s hiking, pottery, or traveling. She’s also a big music fan, so if you hear a power ballad playing from her desk, just know she’s in her element.

Douglas lives by a simple but powerful mantra: be honest with the honest and still be honest with the dishonest. Integrity, after all, is worth more than wealth. Naturally, this makes him the no-nonsense, serious player on the team.
He ensures smooth customer and office management operations, keeping everything running seamlessly.
